ANNAROSE KING is a New York-based filmmaker and actor, currently living in Hong Kong. She co-created, wrote, and directed the web series “American Viral” starring Michael Showalter for Thundershorts (Snag Films’ ad-supported comedy destination). She’s directed several digital series for NYLON MAGAZINE with LaTiDa Productions, a female film collective she co-founded.
Along with her work in independent television, AnnaRose is an award winning director whose short films have screened at festivals nationally and internationally. Her short film “Crystal Sessions” starring (Megan Ketch (CBS Blue Bloods) and Clea Alsip (HBO Boardwalk Empire) picked up an audience award from the Woods Hole Film Festival 2011 and Official Selection Maryland International Film Festival 2011. Other directing work includes her short comedy “Stood Up” (Brooklyn Short Film Festival Official Selection 2012, Charleston International Film Festival Official Selection 2012), documentary short “Tigger!” (Short Film Corner Coup d’Coeur at Cannes in 2010), and documentary short “An Unprotecting Veil” about an incident of mass sexual harassment in Cairo won the Occidental College Award in 2008 and continues to play for educational purposes at the college’s esteemed Diplomacy and World Affairs program.
“Good Enough,” is her first feature film. She holds a BA in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College and completed a Masters of Fine Arts degree from NYU’s graduate filmmaking program in 2014.
